Jun 29, 2009, night, Syrian Time  The Geely’s second 4S shop in Syria was formally unveiled in Hims, the third largest city of this country. Yayoub bader, the director of Ministry of Transportations of Syria, participated in the inauguration ceremony of this 4S shop, and awarded the Geely International Corporation as “Best China’s Automobile Brand in the Syrian Market”. GEELY is a pioneer of China’s independent brands, and also the unique automobile brand which sets up 4S shop in Syria for global auto manufacturers.

　　LI Shu-fu, the chairman of the board of Geely Holding Group, said that the Geely automobile has currently exported to more than 40 countries, with the export volume of 100 thousand vehicles, including Syria, Russia, Ukraine and Singapore. He estimated that Geely Automobile’s products would be put on European and American markets in the future.

Syria is the first station of Geely Group’s overseas exportation, and the Company has sold more than 10 thousand vehicles in Syria since the first batch of cars were sold in this country in 2002.

It is said that the models of Geely vehicle exported to the overseas market mainly include Free Cruiser, Kingkong, Vision, Beauty Leopard and Huapu.

The global automobile market was extremely stagnant due to the downturned global economy, and the large-scale adjustment of global industrial layout in the future would be inevitable, Mr. LI Shu-fu said, Geely Group would seize this opportunity to actively develop the overseas market, and has prepared for launching our products on a large scale in the European and American markets at all aspects, “Now we has put our cars on the England and Australian market, and plan to launch them in other European and American counries”.

Since the products exported to European region must equip with diesel engine and European countries also often request that the products exported to Europe must conform to the local environmental protection standards and regulations, Geely Automobile started to prepare for exportation to European and American markets two-years ago.

Geely has cooperated with Yuchai Group in diesel engine for two years, Mr. LI Shu-fu said, our diesel engine would put into production in the near future; after purchasing DSI Corporation, the automatic transmission problem was solved; after purchasing the Manganin, we further understood the England market over the next two years, and this is certainly helpful to the exportation of our products to other European countries, “Geely understands the basic demands of customers in Europe, and the basic after-sales service and 4S shop”.
