From November 4th to 7th, 2024, Geely 2nd Global Service Skills Competition came to a successful close at the Geely Auto Changxing Base. The competition of this year not only carried forward the theme of " Ignite the Glory", but also achieved a comprehensive upgrade in content and format from the inaugural edition, particularly with the addition of competition in service advisor group. It provides a more diversified and comprehensive competitive platform for after-sale service talents in the global automotive industry.
Gathering 31 industry elites from 14 countries, the competition fosters skill enhancement through discussions and competitions, presenting a fascinating and highly professional automotive service skills feast for the global audience.
Prior to the competition, over 2,000 participants from more than 800 global Geely service stations have registered. After rigorous selection in national and regional competitions, 31 participants convened at the Geely Auto Changxing Base for the final round. They represented the highest standards of their regions and demonstrated exceptional professional skills and a spirit of challenge. The competition closely integrated theory and practice, with multiple assessment dimensions including precise fault diagnosis, efficient practical operations, and standard service process, comprehensively examining the participants' abilities.
After a fierce competition, Gainutdinov Timur from Eastern Europe emerged victorious as the champion of the technician group, while Ahmed Taha from Egypt claimed the top spot in the newly introduced service advisor group. The Latin America and the Middle East & Africa were honored with The Best Regional Organization Reward for their exceptional organizational capabilities this year. Pradeep Kumar, a technician from Kuwait, and Sayyid Safwan Valiyakkathodi, a service advisor from the UAE, received the Best Popularity Award based on their excellent customer reputation and widespread popularity.
During the competition, participants had the opportunity to visit the modern production line at the base, experiencing the manufacturing process of Geely vehicles firsthand, and participated in test drives, deeply feeling the excellent performance and driving pleasure of Geely products. Additionally, the Technical & Quality Forum provided a valuable exchange platform where participants discussed the latest trends and cutting-edge technologies in the automotive service field with industry experts, sharing valuable experiences and insights. The forum collected over thirty improvement suggestions, covering aspects such as car & phone interconnection, overall vehicle comfort & quietness, providing valuable references for Geely's continuous improvement and development.
