Tangerang, Indonesia, 29 October 2025 – Geely Auto Indonesia has officially launched the Geely Starray EM-i nationwide, following the successful pre-booking period held last August. As the second Geely model introduced to the Indonesian market, this vehicle strengthens Geely’s position in the plug-in hybrid SUV (PHEV) segment.
The Starray EM-i has been locally assembled at the Purwakarta manufacturing facility since September 2025, applying global technology standards to ensure top-quality build and safety. This milestone demonstrates Geely’s long-term commitment to contributing to the growth of Indonesia’s automotive industry.

EM-i Super Hybrid Technology: Efficiency Meets Performance
Powered by a 1.5L gasoline engine combined with a 160 kW electric motor, an 18.4 kWh battery, and a 1DHT Automatic transmission system, the Geely Starray EM-i delivers best-in-class efficiency. It achieves fuel efficiency equivalent to 83 km/liter, an electric-only range of up to 105 km, and a total driving range exceeding 1,000 km on a single refueling and charge cycle.
The EM-i Super Hybrid system enables seamless power transition across three driving modes—Pure, Hybrid, and Power—offering an optimal balance between performance, efficiency, and comfort. With the engine’s leading thermal efficiency reaching 46.5%, the Starray EM-i is designed for maximum performance while maintaining excellent energy savings—perfectly suited for Indonesian consumers.

Modern Design and Premium Features
With a contemporary and dynamic exterior design, the Starray EM-i features a front LED through-headlamp setup, LED tail lamps with rear fog lights, and 18-inch alloy wheels that emphasize its sporty character. Its distinctive design has earned international recognition from prestigious awards including the Red Dot Award, International Design Awards (IDA), Muse Design Awards, and A’ Design Award. The model is available in various attractive color options—Twilight Gray, Snowy White, Pearl Silver, Marble Black—and two signature colors, Supersonic Green and Bright Blue, which highlight its modern and elegant appeal.
Inside, the Starray EM-i offers a refined cabin environment with superior material quality and comfort typical of a premium SUV. The 8-layer marshmallow-like seat design provides maximum ergonomic support, while the bridge-style storage layout maintains spaciousness and functionality.
Front seats with ventilation and memory function, 256-color ambient lighting, and high-quality materials create a sophisticated atmosphere. The interior is complemented by a 15.4-inch central display, a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, and the Flyme Auto infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 16-speaker Flyme Sound audio system—including two headrest speakers and a subwoofer—delivers an immersive acoustic experience.
In terms of safety, the Starray EM-i comes with Level 2 ADAS featuring 14 active safety functions, such as Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and a 540-degree camera system, ensuring safe driving across various conditions.
Geely Starray EM-i is supported by a comprehensive dealership and after-sales network across Indonesia, equipped with complete service facilities and trained technicians. By the end of 2025, Geely aims to expand its dealer network to 40 locations, ensuring convenient access and customer satisfaction nationwide.
